Robert Groves is an Associate Professor of Practice and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Classics & Religious Studies at the University of Arizona. He specializes in Greek and Latin literature, ancient multilingualism, and classical reception in modern performance. His roles include directing study abroad programs, overseeing online language courses, and coordinating General Education curriculum reforms.
Education: PhD in Classics (UCLA, 2012), MA (UCLA, 2007), BA (UW-Madison, 2002).
Research: Focuses on ancient bilingualism, performance studies, and digital pedagogy. Recent work includes collaborative theater projects and competency-based online course development.
