Alexander Karsten is an Instructor in the Department of Classical Studies at Duke University, affiliated with Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA from the University of Georgia, and a PhD from Duke University (2023). His research focuses on the Theognidea, a collection of ancient Greek poetry, and he has presented work on topics such as Theognis' Seal Poems and authorship ambiguity in Sulpicia’s poems.
