Robert Gagnon, MD, is Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, McGill University, and Associate Investigator in the Child Health and Human Development Program at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC, Glen site). He also holds a clinical appointment in the Division of Obstetrics, MUHC.
His research focuses on fetal development and perinatal medicine, encompassing fetal growth, placental function, fetal cardiovascular physiology, and the causes of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Specific interests include fetal hypoglycaemia, ultrasound-based assessment of fetal well-being, placental insufficiency, and the management of multiple pregnancies.
