Robert G. Millard is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Stony Brook University. He specializes in applied microeconomics, focusing on health and labor economics. His research examines the interplay between health shocks, disability, and labor market outcomes, with a particular emphasis on how public policy shapes human capital investment and labor market behavior.
Millard's work explores heterogeneity in disability impacts, including timing and functional impairments, and evaluates the insurance-incentive tradeoffs in social insurance programs. He has taught courses such as Labor Theory II, Introductory Econometrics, and Health Economics at Stony Brook University and previously at The University of Western Ontario.
