Robert English is an Associate Professor of International Relations, Slavic Languages and Literature, and Environmental Studies at the University of Southern California (USC). He is affiliated with the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on Russia, the former USSR, and Eastern Europe, with expertise in foreign policy analysis, defense studies, and the intersection of ethnicity, identity, and nationalism. He is currently working on a book titled *Our Serbian Brethren: History, Myth, and the Politics of Russian National Identity*.

His work bridges historical contextualization with contemporary policy implications, particularly concerning U.S.-Russia relations and transnational security challenges.
