Robert Chase is an Adjunct Professor at Sonoma State University, specializing in American and World history. His research examines political and cultural connections between the United States, New Zealand, and Australia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
- Education: PhD in History from the University of California, Irvine
His dissertation, Imagining an Anglo Ocean: The Great White Fleet in the Pacific, analyzes transnational ties through the 1908 US Atlantic Fleet world tour. He is currently revising this work for publication and exploring the history of World’s Fairs in the Pacific as hubs for transnational information exchange.
