Robert C. Johnson

Robert C. Johnson is the Brian and Jeannelle Brady Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame. His research focuses on international trade and macroeconomics, particularly the role of global value chains in shaping trade interdependence. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Economics and Journal of Development Economics. Prior to joining Notre Dame in 2018, he was an Associate Professor at Dartmouth College. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Economics from UC Berkeley, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. from Northwestern University.
