Robert Cécile

Robert Cécile is a Professor of Political Science at Sciences Po Lyon and a member of the Triangle UMR 5206 research laboratory. Their work focuses on political sociology of public action, EU institutions and policies, transparency mechanisms, lobbying dynamics, and depoliticization processes. They co-head the Triangle 'public action' division and lead the doctoral seminar on research methodologies. Their research includes studies on European Union policy-making, revolving doors phenomena, and the sociology of interest representation. They have supervised multiple doctoral theses on EU-related topics and contributed to influential publications like Political Sociology Perspectives on Lobbying in the EU. Recent work examines transparency reforms, lobbying regulation, and depoliticization in EU governance. Teaching responsibilities include European institutions, lobbying strategies, and public policy courses at Sciences Po Lyon.
