Robert Brandt is a Professor of the Practice at the University of Notre Dame's School of Architecture, where he has taught since 1992. A sculptor by training, he earned an M.F.A. from Indiana State University (1989) and a B.S. in Fine Art from the University of Southern Indiana (1986). He leads the Furniture Design concentration, emphasizing craftsmanship and the integration of design, tectonics, and structural/aesthetic properties of wood.

Research Interests: Focused on Furniture Design and classical architectural elements, his teaching explores craft ethics, woodworking techniques, and the interplay between architectural context and 3D object design.
