Robert Bloch is an Adjunct Professor in the Stiller School of Business at Champlain College, where he teaches Business Administration and Marketing. He previously served as Director of Champlain's BYOBiz (Build Your Own Business) program, fostering student entrepreneurship. With a career spanning corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, and academia, Bloch holds a BA in Government from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard University. His expertise includes brand management, mentoring student entrepreneurs, and strategic business development.
Before academia, Bloch spent eight years in brand management at General Foods, followed by leadership roles at Four Seasons Hotels and Marriott as Chief Marketing and Sales Executive worldwide. He also launched two ventures during his entrepreneurial phase. Bloch emphasizes experiential learning and has contributed to Champlain's innovative approaches to business education, including the evolution of the BYOBiz program into the current Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).
Outside academia, he enjoys motorcycling, gardening, and renovating homes with his wife Nancy. His teaching philosophy focuses on empowering students to explore their roles in the business world through practical, hands-on experiences.
