Robert Berard

Dr. Robert Bérard is a Professor and Coordinator of GEMS at Mount Saint Vincent University. His research examines curriculum and instruction in history/social studies, educational history and politics, private/independent schooling, teachers organizations, and educational policy formation. With expertise spanning elementary to secondary education contexts, Bérard investigates the historical development of educational systems and their contemporary implementations.

His scholarly publications include historical analyses of moral education reform, Catholic education leadership, and pedagogical practices in independent schools. Bérard holds a PhD and MA in History from McMaster University and a BEd in Social Studies from Dalhousie University, bringing interdisciplinary perspectives to educational research.
