Robert C. Austin is a Teaching Professor at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs and Centre for European and Eurasian Studies (CEES). He coordinates undergraduate/graduate programs in European Affairs, Hellenic Studies, and Hungarian Studies, with a focus on East Central and Southeastern Europe.

His research explores state-building, transitional justice, Kosovo democratization, and para-states in Europe. Recent publications analyze Albania’s interwar monarchy, Central European geopolitics, and Balkan nation-building.
