Robert Ashman

Dr. Robert Ashman is an Honorary Associate Professor in the School of Dentistry at the University of Queensland (UQ), affiliated with the Centre for Orofacial Regeneration, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation (COR3). His research focuses on understanding immune responses to fungal pathogens, particularly Candida albicans, and their role in oral and systemic infections.

Dr. Ashman's work spans innate and adaptive immunity, cytokine regulation, and host-pathogen interactions. He has contributed to studies on the Mincle receptor's role in immune responses to Candida, the impact of genetic factors on susceptibility, and protective vaccine strategies using antigens like enolase.
