Robert A. Wardhaugh is a Professor in the Department of History at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a PhD from the University of Manitoba (1995) and specializes in Canadian political and regional history, with a focus on the Prairie West, federalism, and 20th-century political developments. His teaching philosophy emphasizes critical engagement, fostering analytical skills through a welcoming and energetic classroom environment.

Major Projects: Co-authoring a book on the ghost town of Fielding, Saskatchewan, as a microcosm of Prairie rural decline. This project with James Flath spans from the last Ice Age to the 1980s.

Teaching & Supervision: Teaches courses on Canadian history, including HIST 2121A (Canada and the World Wars) and HIST 4208G (Canada and its Historians). Supervises MA and PhD students in Canadian political and regional history.
