Robert A. Sikes is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Delaware. His research focuses on mechanisms driving advanced prostate cancer progression, particularly the transition to castration-resistant states and metastasis to bone. He holds a B.A. from the University of Colorado, a Ph.D. from the University of Texas, and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Texas Health Science Center and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.

His research investigates growth factor signaling (TGFβ/IGF1), bone marrow-stromal cell interactions, and molecular mediators of perineural migration in prostate cancer. Current projects include exploring Smad-independent Rho GTPase pathways in metastasis and adhesion molecule roles in cancer-bone microenvironment interactions. His lab is located in Wolf Hall.
