Dr. Robert A. Schwartz is Marvin M. Speiser Professor of Finance and University Distinguished Professor at Baruch College's Zicklin School of Business. He directs the Robert A. Schwartz Center for Trading and Financial Markets Research and developed the TraderEx market simulation platform.
His research focuses on:
- Equity market microstructure
- Price discovery mechanisms
- Trading system design
- Financial regulation
Recent publications examine market liquidity, regulatory frameworks, and exchange functions. He received the World Federation of Exchanges' Excellence Award (2009) and advises exchanges globally including NYSE and Nasdaq.
