Robert A. Ruescher

Robert A. Ruescher is a Professor of Legal Writing at St. John's University School of Law, where he has been faculty since 2001. He teaches courses such as Civil Procedure, Advanced Contracts, International Litigation in U.S. Courts, and Introduction to Law. Prior to this, he taught legal writing and research at New York Law School and served as Assistant Director of their Program (1999-2000). He also practiced banking, corporate, and securities law at Moses & Singer in Manhattan. His expertise spans legal writing pedagogy, employment law, and civil procedure.

Professor Ruescher co-authored The Lawyer's Craft (2002), a foundational legal writing textbook, and published scholarly work on employment discrimination law, including an analysis of Title VII in The Review of Litigation (2004). His career bridges academia and practice, emphasizing legal education and advocacy.
