Robbie Blackwell is an occupational therapist and lymphoedema therapist serving as Team Leader at MQ Health Lymphoedema Treatment Clinic and Honorary Conjoint Associate Lecturer at Macquarie University. She specializes in conservative management of lymphoedema, lipoedema, and chronic oedemas, while leading the ALERT ICG Lymphography Diagnostic Assessment Clinic. Her work focuses on advancing lymphatic disease research and education, including developing accredited training programs for therapists in Australia and New Zealand.
Education: Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from The University of Sydney (2011), currently pursuing a Master of Research at Macquarie University.
Research interests include lymphatic imaging techniques (e.g., ICG lymphography), differential diagnosis of lymphatic disorders, and patient-centered treatment plans. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to improve self-management strategies and compression garment prescriptions for lymphoedema patients.
Recent publications (2022–2023) explore ICG lymphography’s role in diagnosing lymphatic pathways, differentiating lipoedema from lymphoedema, and advancing gluteal lymphoedema understanding. Her work emphasizes clinical applications and translational research.
