Robbert Dijkgraaf

Robbert Dijkgraaf is a Dutch mathematical physicist and former Director of the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton, serving from 2012 to 2022. He holds the title of Leon Levy Professor at the IAS and is a Distinguished University Professor of Mathematical Physics at the University of Amsterdam. His academic career includes roles such as Research Associate at Princeton University (1989–1991) and Professor at the University of Amsterdam (1992–2004).

**Education:** He earned a B.Sc. (1982), M.Sc. (1986), and Ph.D. (1989) in theoretical physics from Utrecht University.
