معرفی
Lotte Hollands is a Professor of Mathematics at Heriot-Watt University, part of the School of Mathematical & Computer Sciences. She holds a permanent position in the Department of Mathematics and has held prestigious fellowships, including the Rubicon Fellowship at Caltech (2009–2013) and the Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship at the University of Oxford (2013–2016). She earned her PhD in 2009 from the University of Amsterdam under Prof. Robbert Dijkgraaf.
Her research bridges quantum physics and mathematics, focusing on supersymmetric quantum field theories, string theory, and their connections to geometry, topology, and algebra. She is actively involved in academic leadership roles, including membership of the Executive Team of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Algebra, Geometry and Quantum Fields (AGQ CDT), and co-initiated the Geometry and Representation Theory in Field Theory (GRIFT) group. She currently supervises two PhD students and has contributed to over 17 research outputs.
Key awards include the Rubicon Fellowship and Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Fellowship. Her work explores topics like quantum curves, BPS states, and exact WKB analysis, often leveraging spectral networks and Hitchin systems. She collaborates internationally and maintains ties with institutions like the University of Oxford and Caltech.
