معرفی
Robb Hollis is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, University of Edinburgh, leading the Nicola Murray Centre for Ovarian Cancer Research. His work focuses on molecular characterization of ovarian cancers, particularly rare subtypes, and developing targeted therapies through genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analyses.
- Education: PhD (University of Edinburgh, 2014-2018), BSc (Newcastle University, First class, 2011-2014)
Research interests include ovarian cancer subtyping, molecular profiling, and multiomic analysis to identify patient-specific therapeutic strategies. Recent publications highlight his work on epithelial-mesenchymal transition, structural genomic diversity, and BRCA1/2 mutations in ovarian cancer progression and treatment response.
Scientific awards include the AACR Pezcoller Foundation Scholar-in-training Award 2019, Institute of Genetics and Cancer Early Career Award 2021, and multiple travel and grant awards. He supervises PhD students Ailsa Oswald, Lorna Stillie, and Jess Lim, and has contributed to drug licensing applications for olaparib and niraparib.
Projects include Cancer Research UK-funded research on CCNE1-gained ovarian cancer and collaborations with international consortia. His lab develops patient-derived ovarian cancer models to expand therapeutic opportunities, particularly for rare subtypes like low-grade serous and endometrioid ovarian cancers.
