Rob van Ginneken

Rob van Ginneken serves as Senior Lecturer and Researcher at Breda University of Applied Sciences' Academy for Hotel & Facility, specializing in hospitality finance, accounting, and the structural dynamics between hotel owners, operators, and brands through management agreements.

His academic foundation includes Business Administration studies at Groningen University (NL), KU Leuven (B), and Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne (FR), complemented by an ESSEC Advanced Certificate in Hospitality Real Estate & Finance, STR Certified Hotel Industry Analytics certification, and WSET® Diploma in Wine and Spirits where he also serves as a Certified Educator for levels 1-3.

Research centers on ownership-operation separation in global hospitality, management contract frameworks, branding configurations, and agency theory applications. His work critically examines how ownership models influence strategic decisions, financial performance, and stakeholder relationships within hotel ecosystems, with particular focus on contractual governance structures.

Recent publications (2020-2021) reveal consistent exploration of operational models, GM-AM dynamics in brand-managed properties, and crisis communication strategies, demonstrating interdisciplinary integration of hospitality management, organizational behavior, and financial analytics.
