Rob P.A. Janssen

Rob P.A. Janssen is an Associate Professor in Knee Reconstruction within the Orthopaedic Biomechanics group at Eindhoven University of Technology. He combines fundamental research with clinical practice as a knee surgeon at Máxima Orthopedic Center, a tertiary referral center for complex knee injuries.

His translational research focuses on remodeling human tendon autografts in ACL reconstructions, aiming to develop biomechanical, biological, and imaging models for personalized medicine in adult and pediatric cases.

• Clinical Expertise: Multi-ligament injuries, sports trauma, osteoarthritis, meniscus/cartilage disorders.
• Leadership: Director of Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program; Chair of STZ Center for Complex Knee Injuries; Co-Director of ESSKA PAMI Pediatric ACL Research Center.

Awards: Multiple scientific prizes including translational science excellence and educational innovation honors.
