Rob Maaskant

Rob Maaskant is an Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Electromagnetics group of the Electrical Engineering department. He also holds an associate professorship at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden, within the Antenna Group of the Electrical Engineering department.

His research focuses on mm-wave antenna integration and packaging challenges, particularly addressing cross-talk effects and cavity resonance issues through hybrid circuit-wave modeling. He develops silicon-based Ka-band massive MIMO systems for 5G applications using BiCMOS technologies. Key projects include spatial power combiners and algorithmic radar architectures with energy-saving innovations.
