Rob Cooper is a Lecturer at the Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, University College London, and an EPSRC Early Career Fellow. He founded the Diffuse Optical Tomography Hub (DOT-HUB) and co-directs neoLAB, an interdisciplinary collaboration between UCL and The Rosie Hospital, Cambridge, focusing on newborn infant brain imaging.
Research Interests: Rob specializes in advancing Diffuse Optical Tomography (DOT) and Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) for neuroscience and clinical neuroimaging applications. His work emphasizes developing wearable high-density DOT systems for studying the newborn infant brain, bridging engineering and neonatology.
