Rint P. Sijbesma

Rint P. Sijbesma is a Full Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), leading research in supramolecular and dynamic covalent chemistry within the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. His work focuses on developing smart polymers, recyclable materials, and mechanoresponsive systems. He holds a PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen (1992) and has held academic positions at TU/e since 1993, progressing from Assistant Professor to Full Professor in 2006.

Current projects include the Brain-on-Chip AI Computer initiative (2021–2026), exploring biohybrid systems. He teaches advanced courses in organic chemistry and polymer science, supervising over 116 graduate students.
