Rinad S Beidas is the Chair of the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University and holds the Ralph Seal Paffenbarger Professorship. She is also a Professor at Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and a key member of the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Center for Computational and Social Sciences in Health, and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research focuses on implementation science in healthcare, particularly in translating research into clinical practice, addressing firearm safety, tobacco use treatment for cancer patients, and reducing health disparities for LGBTQ populations through data-driven initiatives.
