Dr. Rina Wehbe is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, starting her position on July 1st. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, with a multidisciplinary background combining a B.Sc. in Psychology and an M.Sc. in Computer Science.
Her research is driven by a mission to promote social change through technology, focusing on human-computer interaction (HCI), persuasive design, and community engagement. She leads the HCI4Good research group and actively seeks graduate students and collaborative opportunities.

She completed her Ph.D. dissertation titled Designing Persuasively using Playful Elements, which explores how games influence user behavior and can be leveraged for positive change. The thesis is publicly available via UWSpace.
Dr. Wehbe is actively involved in promoting inclusive and equitable practices in STEM and technology design, with an emphasis on real-world impact.
