Rimonda Maroun is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Endicott College, affiliated with the School of Social Sciences, Communication, and Humanities. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminology & Justice Studies from the University of Massachusetts Lowell (2017), an M.A. in Criminal Justice (2015), and a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Saint Anselm College (2013). Her research focuses on juvenile justice policy, racial disparities in sentencing, and offender re-entry. She advises Endicott’s Law & Justice Club and serves on the Executive Editorial Board of Crime & Delinquency.
Maroun’s work explores how contextual factors like neighborhood disadvantage and racial/ethnic dynamics influence juvenile court outcomes. Her publications include a textbook on corrections (2023) and peer-reviewed articles analyzing sentencing disparities and minority threat theory. She has received the Outstanding Ph.D. Award and co-evaluated the Essex County Mental Health Diversion Program (funded by BJA, 2020-2024).
