Rigoberto A. Lopez

Rigoberto A. Lopez is a Professor at the University of Connecticut, holding appointments in teaching, research, and extension. He serves as Co-Editor of Agribusiness: An International Journal. His primary affiliation is with the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics within the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources.

Education includes a Ph.D. and B.S. in Food & Resource Economics from the University of Florida (1983 and 1979, respectively), and an Agronomist degree from the Pan American Agricultural School in Honduras (1977).

Research focuses on Food Systems, Marketing strategies, Industrial Organization dynamics, and Public Policy analysis. Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Marketing and Consumer Behavior (ARE 3222), Price Analysis and Futures Trading (ARE 3225), and Empirical Industrial Organization (ARE 6474).
