Dr. Jessica Koslouski is Assistant Research Professor in Educational Psychology at UConn's Neag School of Education. She holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Applied Human Development from Boston University, M.Ed. in Special Education from Boston University, and B.A. in Elementary Education and Human Development from Boston College. Her research develops whole-child policies and trauma-informed practices in schools.
Current projects include leading qualitative research for Project ESSY to develop a whole-child screener, evaluating CDC-funded health initiatives for Connecticut youth, and studying the Feel Your Best Self program. With ten years' experience as a special education teacher, she focuses on feasible interventions promoting student thriving.
Publications examine trauma-responsive teaching, emotional well-being measurement, and equitable behavioral assessment. Her work emphasizes translating research into practical classroom strategies supporting students affected by adversity.
