Rie Maeno is an Assistant Professor at Waseda University's Faculty of Education and Integrated Arts and Sciences, specializing in Asian and African history with a focus on pre-modern Central Eurasia. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, her work bridges Mongol political structures, Tibetan Buddhist influences, and Qing Dynasty dynamics.
