Ricky Burdett

Professor Ricky Burdett is a London-based urban specialist and Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He leads LSE Cities, a global research and teaching center, and co-chairs the Council on Urban Initiatives with UN Habitat and UCL. His expertise spans urban development, architecture, and the socio-spatial dynamics of contemporary cities. He advised the Mayor of London on the 2012 Olympics legacy and served as Chief Advisor on Architecture and Urbanism. He curated major exhibitions like the Global Cities Exhibition at Tate Modern and directed the Venice International Architecture Biennale.
