Adam Kaasa is a Visiting Professor at the University of Toronto (2016) and a prominent academic at the Royal College of Art (RCA), School of Architecture. He holds a PhD in Cities from the London School of Economics (LSE) and co-founded Theatrum Mundi, an urban research centre. His work bridges urban theory, cultural studies, and architecture, focusing on post/decolonial theories, feminist and queer approaches, and global inequality. Kaasa’s research critiques neoliberal urban structures and explores speculative methodologies like collaborative fiction to reimagine urban spaces. He has led projects such as Uncommon Building and Designing Politics, exploring speculative urbanism and ethical coexistence.
