Rick Wash is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison's Information School. He holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and has held prior positions at Michigan State University, where he co-led the BITLab. His research focuses on cybersecurity, human-computer interaction (HCI), and socio-technical systems, emphasizing how users perceive and manage risks in technology use. He has been recognized with prestigious awards including the SOUPS Impact Award and a Google Security Award.
