Richard Yu is a Professor at the Carleton School of Information Technology, Carleton University. His research focuses on cross-layer design in wireless systems, security in wireless networks, green information technologies, and multimedia over wireless networks. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng). His work integrates machine learning, edge computing, and reinforcement learning to address challenges in vehicular networks, autonomous systems, and IoT.
