Richard Wingate is a Professor of Developmental Neurobiology at King's College London's Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN). He leads the Wingate Lab and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Brain Facts. His research focuses on neuronal identity specification during brain development, particularly in the cerebellum. He is also deeply engaged in science communication, public outreach, and educational innovation, including collaborations with artists and institutions like the Wellcome Collection. His work bridges science and art, exemplified by his curated exhibitions and co-authored books on neuroscience.
