Richard Vaglienti

Richard Vaglienti serves as Associate Professor across multiple departments at West Virginia University School of Medicine, including Anesthesiology (Clinical Faculty), Neuroscience, Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute, and Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry. He directs the Center for Integrative Pain Management and holds dual board certifications in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

His research focuses on chronic pain interventions, notably intrathecal therapies, spinal cord stimulation, and opioid prescribing protocols. Key contributions include developing West Virginia's state-mandated opioid curriculum and advancing neuromodulation techniques for vascular pain conditions.
