Richard Upward

Professor Richard Upward is an academic affiliated with the University of Nottingham and the Leibniz Institute for Economic Research at Halle (IWH). His research focuses on empirical labor economics and applied econometrics, particularly on globalization, job turnover, linked employer-employee data, and evaluation methods.

Recent publications investigate the long-term effects of job loss on political behavior and the efficacy of transfer companies in aiding displaced workers. His work combines rigorous econometric analysis with policy-relevant questions.
