Richard Pountney

Richard Pountney is a Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Principal Lecturer) specializing in curriculum development and digital pedagogy at Sheffield Hallam University's Department of Teacher Education. His research examines curriculum coherence models, mentoring practices, and digital literacy, with recent publications on pandemic-era mentoring programs and sustainability curricula.

He has supervised over 25 postgraduate students, led the £200,000 DEFT project on digital literacy, and chairs the BERA Curriculum SIG. As trustee of XP School Trust, he designs curriculum frameworks including the GROW Mentoring Programme.
