Richard Palmer serves as Lecteur d'anglais (English instructor) at the School of Tourism (ESTHUA) at the University of Angers. A trained teacher of French and Spanish from Jamaica, he now specializes in teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English as a Second Language (ESL) across undergraduate and graduate levels (LP, L1-M2).
His responsibilities include coordinating English language activities across departments to enhance students' language proficiency and cultural awareness while promoting English as a Medium of Instruction. He previously participated in an immersion program at CIDEF in Angers before returning for his current position.
Palmer actively promotes cultural exchange and Jamaican heritage through university collaborations. He maintains strong departmental relationships and values Angers' multicultural environment.
