Richard Olenick

Dr. Richard Olenick is a Professor of Physics at the University of Dallas, specializing in astrophysics and physics education. He oversees undergraduate research, having supervised over 50 theses, and teaches courses in physics, astronomy, and computational physics. His editorial roles include serving as Editor for Open Physics and Physics Reviewer for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program.

His research focuses on cataclysmic variables, accretion disks, and exoplanet searches through photometric studies. Notable projects include work on the PBS series The Mechanical Universe and development of the Comprehensive Conceptual Curriculum for Physics (C3P) with NSF funding.
