معرفی
Richard Nair is a Research Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin, where he collaborates on the TERRAFORM project. Previously, he was a Teaching Fellow at Trinity College Dublin (2015–2022) and a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, Germany (2014–2015).
His research bridges ecological biogeochemistry and artificial intelligence, focusing on above- and below-ground plant functional ecology and its role in global change dynamics. Key areas include root phenology, nutrient cycling, and carbon flux modeling, with a particular emphasis on Medeterranean and temperate forest ecosystems.
Richard's recent publications highlight his work on nitrogen deposition effects on carbon sequestration, root dynamics in resource-limited systems, and machine learning applications for ecological data synthesis. He has received significant recognition through the Royal Society-Science Foundation Ireland University Research Fellowship.
