معرفی
Richard Martin is a Professor of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Aston University, specializing in bioactive materials and advanced imaging techniques. His research develops gallium-doped bioactive glasses for bone regeneration and osteosarcoma therapy.
Recent work focuses on optimizing antimicrobial nanoparticles, correlative imaging methodologies for biomaterials, and coupled synthesis techniques for ceramic biomaterials. He employs neutron scattering, synchrotron imaging, and in vivo models to characterize material-tissue interactions.
- Aston Excellence Achievement Award for Research (2016)
- International Gottardi Award (2016)
- Outstanding Early Career Researcher (2013)
His research group explores applications in orthopedics and oncology, with innovations in nanostructured antimicrobials and cancer-targeting biomaterials.
