Richard Li

Richard Li is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, where he also completed his PhD. He is co-advised by James Fogarty and Shwetak Patel and affiliated with the DUB Group and Ubicomp Lab.

Research interests include human-computer interaction, ubiquitous computing, sensor-based systems, and machine learning for real-world problem-solving. His work focuses on designing cognitive screening assessments, modeling physical human activities, and enabling novel interaction techniques.

Recent publications trend toward education policy analysis, including studies on selective admissions reform, gender equity in compensation, and institutional responses to student activism.
