Richard Lanyon-Hogg

Professor Richard Lanyon-Hogg is a Visiting Professor at the University of Sheffield's School of Computer Science and an advisor to the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) Factory 2050. He specializes in accelerating the 4th Industrial Revolution in UK high-value manufacturing, focusing on enterprise architecture, strategy, and infrastructure innovation. His work bridges operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), emphasizing sustainability and autonomic computing.

Richard has been recognized as one of the UK’s top 50 part-time executives by the London Financial Times (2013). His honors include the BCS Gold Medal and European Green IT Award. He holds patents in wireless technologies and is a Chartered Engineer.
