Richard J. Herring is the Jacob Safra Professor of International Banking and Professor of Finance at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he has been a faculty member since 1972. He has held significant administrative roles including Director of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute (2000-2006), Co-Director of the Wharton Financial Institutions Center (2000-present), and Vice Dean of the Wharton Undergraduate Division (1995-2000).
