F. Richard Ferraro is a Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Dakota, specializing in cognition, neuropsychology, and lifespan development. He teaches courses across clinical, experimental, and forensic psychology domains and directs research examining neuropsychological assessment, autism spectrum disorders, and cognitive aging.
His research program investigates multiple domains:
- Cognitive aging and neuropsychological assessment methodologies
- Cross-cultural and minority aspects of neuropsychological testing
- Autism spectrum manifestations across the lifespan
- Technology effects on attention and behavior
- Frontal lobe executive functioning in clinical populations
Dr. Ferraro maintains an extensive publication record with over 320 publications and 390 presentations. His recent work explores digital wellbeing interventions, post-COVID cognitive sequelae, and concussion awareness.
