Richard E. Baldwin

Richard E. Baldwin is Professor of International Economics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. He has focused on globalization, trade, and technological impacts on labor markets for 30 years. He founded the policy website VoxEU and served as President of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), with ongoing roles as Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research.

In 2019, he delivered the EPFL Campus Lecture on "The Globotics Upheaval," exploring how digital technology and globalization are transforming work. His research spans economic integration, political economy, and the future of work, emphasizing policy responses to automation and telemigration.
