Richard C. Thompson, Jr. is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Engineering Management Program at The Catholic University of America's College of Engineering, Physics, and Computing. Concurrently, he serves as Vice President for the Americas Office of Risk Management at AECOM, where he oversees regional risk and quality programs for the firm's ISO 9001-2008 certified systems.
Thompson brings 25 years of industry leadership, including directing high-profile projects such as the US Navy’s Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and the American Airlines JFK Airport Terminal Replacement. His project management expertise spans the National Guard Bureau, US Department of Transportation, and Fortune 500 clients.
His educational background includes:
